Our class will be covering the following topics:

Math: Students will be learning about Multiplication

Reading: Students will be working on  Comprehension , Accuracy, Fluency, Expanding Vocabulary using the Daily CAFE with emphasis on Narrative, Argumentive and Expository Writing with an emphasis on Lucy Calkins Writing.

Skill Lesson of the Week:Main Ideas and Details

Social Studies: Students will  learn about Geography in Communities

Science: Students will learn about  animals and their habitats

Spelling: Students will learn to spell  words with the final Syllables -le

Grammar- Students will learn about Singular and Plural Nouns

Writing: Students will be working on Narrative Writing, Argumentive and Expository Writing throughout this quarter and reinforcing Lucy Calkins Writing.

Homework Rules for the 1st Quarter:
If your child misses any assignments in a week, please check agenda for a note from me and sign. Make sure it is completed by Friday, otherwise it will affect 10 percent of their grade.
Check Parent Folder Monthly , Agenda Notebook/ Parent folder and Homework notebook daily.

 ***Check your child's bookbag daily***

Parent Message Board:
If your child is absent for more than 2 days, please come in to pick up assignments at school in the morning before 8:00am or after 3:15pm, so there is no interruption during school hours. You may pick it up in the office as well. Thank you!!

100-90=A                    89-80=B                79-70=C               69-60-D            59-Below=F
